Admissions, Arrivals and other helpful FAQs
Yes, washers and dryers are available on the property for all clients. Be sure to bring any detergents you prefer.
If you are so inclined, we encourage you to bring your golf clubs and fishing gear. A number of opportunities exist here at the facility and in the community to put these tools to work.
Yes. Ample parking is available for clients and guests. If you have an oversized vehicle or a vehicle that requires special attention, please just let the admission team know.
Whispering Oaks Lodge is a private insurance and self-pay (cash, check credit card) facility. We accept some private insurance, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, but to be sure, call (877) 419-3005 or fill out our short form. A team member will check your insurance benefits. All admissions will be made in advance to ensure bed space is available.
Before you come, be sure to take a look at our list of What To Bring. We encourage everyone to bring a tablet or laptop computer. Some other items are optional but this checklist will act as a good guide as you prepare to join us at Whispering Oaks Lodge. All items will be checked during intake and must be approved by staff.

Whispering Oaks Lodge allows cell phones, computers, tablets, etc. to be brought in and used on a daily basis at certain times. We have super fast Wifi available throughout the facility.
We order out food from local restaurants daily. Options can be made available to those with specific needs or dietary restrictions. Be sure to let your intake coordinator know ahead of your arrival if this applies to you.
Medications will be reviewed and approved by our medical team. Please bring all medications that you are currently prescribed. A local pharmacy will fill and refill all our your medications. You will need to bring your insurance card to send to the pharmacy.

Clients will be allowed to Skype or Facetime with their computers and/or tablets. Quiet workspace and phones will be made available on a case-by-case basis.
You will have your electronics including cell phone, laptops, tablets etc. The rest is up to you.
Visitation is available on Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm CST and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm CST. Other times may be made available depending on the situation.
